Programs, Events, and Field Trips
Prairie Loft offers a variety of programs for the general public and specialty groups (schools, clubs, service organizations, etc). Activities include educational workshops, field trips, presentations, cultural events, facility rental, and community gatherings.

PUBLIC EVENTS TAKE PLACE RAIN OR SHINE! When you come, please consider carpooling. Due to the nature of the site and variety of visitors, we do not allow visitors to bring dogs or other pets. By attending activities on site, you agree to be photographed and/or filmed and give Prairie Loft permission to use your likeness in promotional and/or educational materials.

Community Programs and Events
Family Outdoor Club
Third Saturday of each month, 10:00-11:30am
Outdoor activities geared toward kids ages 2-8 with their grownups. Outdoor exploration, art activities, take-home projects, and more. Dress for the weather and be prepared to get a little messy! $5 suggested donation per family per Saturday.

Women, Wine & Wilderness
Every other month, March through November
Connect with nature and each other through conversation and shared experiences, including a delicious & healthy meal plus wine and non-alcoholic beverages. Women ages 21 and older are invited to join us. Pre-registration required. Watch our Facebook page for the next event!
2019 Summer Camps
Little Sprouts Camp
Age 3 | 2 sessions to choose from: Friday, June 14 or Friday, July 12
Perfect for first-time summer campers! We are offering a new morning camp (9-11:30am) for 3-year-olds to create, explore and learn together. Activities include free choice time indoors and outdoors, plus story time, outdoor exploration, and creative activities.
Outdoor Kids Camp
Ages 4-6 | 4 sessions to choose from: July 9-11, 16-18, July 30-Aug 1 or August 6-8
This camp is for children ages 4 to 6 who love to explore and learn! Daily themes are Animals, Plants, and Farm & Food. Activities include free choice time, lessons, stories, outdoor exploration, healthy snacks, and creative art. 9-11:30am each day.
Junior Farmhands Camp
Ages 7-10 | 3 sessions to choose from: June 4-6 (FULL), June 11-13 or June 19-21 (added!)
Dig in to experience the cycles and systems of life on a farm in this 3-day camp. We’ll explore soil, water, plants, insects, and the process of growing food. Get creative through art, craft and journal projects, and storytelling. 9am-2pm each day.
Ages 4-10 with "Grandfriends" | 2 days to choose from: Thursday, May 30 or Friday, May 31
Join us at this day camp (9am-1pm) for grandpeople with their grandkids to create, explore and learn together!
Ages 10-13 | One session: June 7
We are offering a new day camp for kids ages 10-13 who love to wonder, explore, and get a little messy. This one-day camp for young environmental stewards and scientists will include free choice time, outdoor exploration, creative science, and take home projects. We will actively explore soil, water, geology, fossils, and underground ecosystems.
School Field Trips
We offer programs for all ages to schools, summer programs, homeschool groups, and other educational organizations. All classes are hands-on and active, with a variety of activities in every session. Activities may include team building activities, nature hikes, art projects, farm to table, animal studies, exploration of gardens, fields, and pasture, and more. The cost for a 90-minute visit is generally $3 per student. Adults participate at no charge.
